What is E-Shram card?
In an effort to uplift the socio-economic status of workers, construction labourers, migrants, street vendors, domestic workers, and other unorganized sectors of India and help them grab the benefits of other schemes, the government has taken a great step and launched a platform called e shram portal. Through E Shram portal workers and labours can register themselves and get an e-shram card with their unique identification number (UAN). This portal is launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment of India on August 21, 2021.
This Universal Account Number will be valid across the country. With the help of this card, the workers can go anywhere and anytime in the country and can find employment.
The card has been issued to 10 crore workers and is expected to cover 38 crore labourers of India.
E- Shram portal is considered as the first National Database of unorganized sectors.

To register on E shram portal to get E sharm Card you need to visit the government website eshram.gov.in.

Step 2: After that click on the online form link.
Step 3: Click on the e-Shram Card Self Registration link on the main page.
Step 4: Now a new window will open in front of you, in which you will have to fill your application form.

E Shram Card Last Date to apply
Application for E-Shram card will be available till this date only, see the last date of registration.
If you are a worker and yet have not applied for your E Shram card, you are recommended to get registered before the last date. Though, the government has not yet announced the last date for the application for E sharmik Card. But it is expected that the deadline for registration can be made soon.
